Bargaining Goals Ratification
Members have demonstrated overwhelming support for the bargaining goals that were developed based on input from members throughout Winter and Spring Quarter. Nearly 2300 members voted, with over 94% signing on in support. With this strong mandate, we’ll continue to push University administration to make modifications to the collective bargaining agreement so international students affected by the travel ban have necessary support and protections. For more information about bargaining, be sure to check out the updates & info page.
Earth Day to May Day
As we continue to push for changes to the collective bargaining agreement to curb the effects of the Trump travel ban, the University of Washington community is also preparing for mass mobilizations in the upcoming month. Your participation is critical!
On April 22nd, we will march in the March for Science as a contingent of the University of Washington to defend science — in particular for people affected by structural inequalities in the science community, and for communities most negatively impacted by climate change. Please RSVP today!
Monday, May 1st will be a nationwide day of resistance, and thousands in Seattle are ready to strike, walk out, teach-in, and take action to declare a moratorium on business as usual. Will you sign on now to declare your support for taking action on May 1st?
If you’d like to get involved with planning efforts for these actions, please email email@example.com.
