UAW Local 4121 is the Union representing approximately 4,500 Academic Student Employees (ASEs) at the University of Washington. This includes undergraduate and graduate students working as Research Assistants, Staff Assistants, Teaching Assistants, Reader/Graders, Tutors, and Fellows and Trainees who do similar work.

The Union gives us the right to bargain with the UW over our wages, hours, benefits, and working conditions, allowing us a voice in decisions that affect us as ASEs.
