Thousands of ASEs and supporters rallied on Red Square during the May 15th strike.

Yesterday’s strike was historic and massively successful–more than 2,000 of you walked the picket lines, assembled in Red Square, and demonstrated to the members of UW Administration present at the rally that you will not stand for their insulting proposals. Several unions joined us in solidarity, offering their collective voices in solidarity with our efforts toward a fair contract. We are working on efforts to demonstrate our thanks to them for standing with us.

Following this impressive action, we are holding a membership meeting tomorrow, Thursday May 17, 5:30-7pm in a room on campus (TBD) to strategize next steps in our campaign for a fair contract. UW Administration is sitting up and taking notice–please come to the meeting and build on the impressive momentum and energy demonstrated by thousands of fellow members yesterday!

You can find more information, media coverage, and photos from yesterday on our website, uaw4121.org. If you have photos or videos you’d like to share, you can either email them to uaw4121@uaw4121.org or post them on the Facebook event page!
