First Membership Meeting of the Year

As a reminder, our first membership meeting of the academic year will be tomorrow, Thursday 10/10 from 5:30-6:30pm in Social Work Building 026. Next academic year, both Academic Student Employees and Postdocs will be negotiating new contracts, and in order to be in the best position possible to make key improvements to our working conditions, we’re starting to prepare NOW. Tomorrow’s meeting will be a key opportunity to learn what it will take to put us in a position to start bargaining off strong, and to find out how you can plug in to help. Trans Resource Fair

At the same time as the membership meeting on 10/10, the UW Trans Resource Fair, organized by the UAW4121 Trans Equity Working Group, will be in the Social Work Building 305 from 4-7pm. There will be a dozen community organizations, as well as a very brief presentation from UAW on our recent equity survey results. Students, faculty, and staff of all genders are welcome to attend!
