Dear UAW Member,
Today was a powerful bargaining session as around 300 ASEs turned out to demonstrate support and urgency around our proposals concerning anti-discrimination and equity!
When UW Admin came back to the table following the action, they told us that they don’t have the money for 2 ASE positions to coordinate anti-harassment and discrimination trainings, and disrespected us by indicating that our mutually agreed upon deadline to finalize these proposals doesn’t matter. Our next bargaining session is tomorrow, April 5 from 9am-5pm in Roosevelt Commons West. Come to continue pressing the importance of these issues – make it for all or part to participate and demonstrate your support! And, if you haven’t done so already, please take a minute to add your name to the equity petition. EQUITY IS NOT OPTIONAL!
