Our union’s climate justice working group has been working with labor communities in King County and across the state to build conversation around climate change and a just transition to a clean energy economy. A key partner in this work is the Washington State BlueGreen Alliance, who is coordinating an exciting summit next month, September 14th – 15th.
Governor Inslee, Representative Beth Doglio, and Senator Merkley of Oregon are among the featured speakers. Also one of our members, Grant Williamson from the Clean Energy Institute, will be among the panelists.
It is going to be a fantastic event, with interactive and informative discussions around climate policy, energy and water infrastructure, our changing transportation systems, NAFTA renegotiation and more!
UAW 4121 will sponsor a limited number of members who want to attend! Sponsorship includes reimbursement for registration and hotel.
More information is below, and please share with your networks!
Here’s the short request for sponsorship.
