The UAW Local 4121 Triennial Election will take place on May 24 – 26, 2016. The nomination period is now open and will close on May 10 at 5 pm.
Online Voting
Soon you should receive a postcard with a unique scratch-off access code for your online ballot. Please do not discard this postcard. If you do not receive a postcard by May 10, please notify the Election Committee.

In-person Voting
In-person voting will take place at the following times and locations:
May 24th: 10am – 1pm: Drumheller Fountain
2pm – 5pm: Outside the HSC Rotunda on Pacific St
May 25th: 10am – 1pm: Outside Schmitz Hall on 15th Ave
2pm – 5pm: The Quad between Raitt and Miller Halls
May 26th: 10am – 1pm: Outside More Hall on E Stevens Way
2pm – 5pm: Drumheller Fountain
In the event of an exact tie between two candidates, a runoff election will be held on May 27. Voting will take place online, and in person from 10am to 1pm, and 2 pm – 5 pm at Drumheller Fountain.
Nominations
All UAW Local 4121 members in good standing for at least one (1) year prior to accepting nomination are automatically nominated for the following Executive Board positions, whose three-year terms begin in June 2016 and expire in May 2019:
- President
- Vice President
- Recording Secretary
- Financial Secretary
- Sergeant-at-Arms
- Guide
- Trustee (3 positions)
All UAW Local 4121 members in good standing continuously for ninety (90) days prior to accepting nomination are automatically nominated for the following At Large Bargaining Team positions, whose terms begin in June 2016 and expire in May 2019:
- Region 1 (2 positions)
- Region 2 (2 positions)
- Region 3 (2 positions)
- Region 4 (2 positions)
- Region 5 (2 positions)
All UAW Local 4121 members in good standing continuously for ninety (90) days prior to accepting nomination are automatically nominated for the following vacant Steward positions, whose terms expire in December 2016:
- Region 1 (2 position)
- Region 2 (1 position)
- Region 3 (1 position)
- Region 4 (5 positions)
- Region 5 (2 position)
Candidates for Steward and At Large Bargaining Team may only accept nomination in one jurisdictional region, and may only accept nomination in a jurisdictional region in which they are enrolled or employed.
Members may only vote for Steward in a jurisdictional region in which they are enrolled or employed. All members are eligible to vote for all At Large Bargaining Team positions.

Acceptances must be received by mail or email no later than May 10 at 5:00 pm PDT. The written statement of acceptance should state how the nominee wishes their name to appear on the ballot and the region in which they are accepting the nomination, if applicable.
Candidate Statements
Members accepting nomination may also submit a candidate statement (up to 500 words) to the Election Committee that must be received by the nomination deadline of May 10 at 5:00 pm PDT. Candidates may also submit a photo, which must have a square aspect ratio and be at least 200×200 pixels in resolution. In the case of contested positions, statements will be posted on the Local Union website no later thanMay 11.
