Fees

About

The amount of student fees collected by the UW ballooned from $12.7 million in 2004 to $28.8 million in 2015. The student fee working group aims to halt and reverse this trend of increasing fees. Specifically, we are working to make sure that both prospective and current students are aware of the fee burden, and to pressure the university to find alternative sources of funding for fee-backed expenditures.

In April 2016 we delivered an anti-fee petition to the UW Board of Regents with over 1,000 signatures. We hope to conduct more actions in the future and to continue researching the structure of fees at UW.
