Mobilization

Membership mobilization has always been integral to our success in winning improvements under our collective bargaining agreement and to achieve broader goals of equity and justice.  The mobilization work group plans direct actions on and off campus – including marches, rallies, strike support, and occupations – to develop grassroots pressure for social and economic justice.

UAW Local 4121 helped sponsor a direct action training in January 2016 to help build membership and community capacity for non-violent, inclusive direct actions.  In the coming year we will continue to identify and plan actions and tap into local and global movements to engage Local members and build power for progressive change.
