First Membership Meeting of the Year
Our first membership meeting of the academic year will be next Thursday 10/8 from 5-6pm via Zoom. More details about how you can join the Zoom meeting will follow in next week’s email and will also be posted on the website. The proposed agenda for the meeting is as follows:

- 2021 Contract Negotiations: Basics & Discussion
- Recent and Upcoming Local Campaigns
- Elect a New Elections Committee

Any member who would like to propose additional agenda items or submit materials for the meeting is welcome to email uaw4121@uaw4121.org by 5pm on Wednesday, October 7. All members in good standing are encouraged to attend, and anyone who is not yet a member can sign up here beforehand.
Postdoc Rally Friday Morning
Tomorrow, Friday October 2nd, Postdocs are calling on the UW administration to change a discriminatory policy that prevents certain independently funded Postdocs (who are mainly International Scholars) from receiving healthcare. Can you join the outdoor physically-distanced rally near campus from 8:30-10:30am? More details and RSVP are here.
UPASS
As of October 1st, King County Metro will once again start collecting fare. All Academic Student Employees and Postdocs should be receiving a UPASS at no charge to you. You may need to reactivate your UPASS which can be done by tapping it on an ORCA reader or sending a request through the Transportation Services website. Members with UPASS issues should fill out this form.
