Help build our housing affordability campaign by filling out this survey!

A few weeks ago, we sent out an email describing the UW’s recent plan to combat Seattle’s housing affordability crisis by developing 150 affordable housing units in the U-District. While we appreciate that the University is recognizing housing as an urgent issue, this plan is woefully insufficient for addressing the serious burden housing costs have on members of UAW 4121 and so many others across the region.

Your participation and feedback is critical for demonstrating to the UW that much more needs to be done to address the housing affordability crisis. One easy way you can help is by taking this survey, developed by members to gather concrete information on the burden housing costs have on academic student employees. It only takes about 10 minutes to complete, and the information we gather will be vital for developing specific action plans around housing — for bargaining, for community and political action, and more.
