Thursday, 1/21/16: Political Work Group Meeting and 7th Congressional District

This week the political work group will meet to consider candidates to recommend for endorsement in the 7th Congressional District seat, recently vacated by Jim McDermott. This race presents a great opportunity to have another strong voice for labor and the public sector with a national platform; currently the candidates most likely to run are Brady Walkinshaw, Joe McDermott and Pramila Jayapal. The group also plans to discuss the continued momentum behind a statewide minimum wage increase and the state of the Presidential race.

All members are welcome to attend the meeting this Thursday (1/21) at 11:45 in Odegaard 346. You can also provide input on the 7th Congressional District endorsement or any other political happenings by emailing political@uaw4121.org
