In response to our grievances and demand to bargain over the proposed cuts to TA jobs in the College of Arts and Sciences, the University has begin to offer funding in at least two departments. Our efforts are working!

Please remember to contact your union representative, or send an email touaw4121@uaw4121.org, if you were expecting funding and have been told you won’t be receiving any. The University has stated in their response to ourinformation request that affected members should contact the union, who will work with the College to help address such situations.

Tomorrow, union members will plan to address the Board of Regents again about this issue at 1:00 pm in the Peterson Room in the Allen Library. Come out to show solidarity, then don’t forget to attend our membership meeting at 5:00 pm to help decide next steps in this campaign and hear other reports of member activism in enforcing and growing rights/protections across campus.
