Dear UAW Member,
Leadership Institute
Please save the date for our next full day union leadership workshop for stewards and other folks who’ve been active with the union in their departments on Saturday, March 2. The goal of the day is to train ourselves up for building the union, enforcing the contract, dealing with grievances, and organizing to make ourselves stronger. This will be a great chance for all of us to come together, share ideas, and build stronger cross-departmental cohesion. The training will be for all stewards as well as others who are interested taking an active role organizing in the department. If you plan to attend, please RSVP here, and invite others from your department who might be interested.
Rally Against Trump’s Abuse of Power
Join One America and other immigration advocacy organizations for a rally against Trump’s abuse of power today (2/22), 1 PM @ Casa Latina.
TAKE ACTION – 48,747 people are in detention right now. That’s more people than a fully-packed Mariners stadium. The Deportation Force (ICE, CBP, and detention) is increasing immigrant intimidation across Washington State. We must prepare and protect our communities, schools, places of faith, and our workplaces. WA Immigrant Solidarity Network need funds to grow the Deportation Defense Team. Become a monthly donor to support this, the hotline, and rapid response work. Donate here: bit.ly/WAISNFightsBack
