Our next bargaining committee meeting with the University will take place tomorrow (Thursday 1/29) in Condon 311 starting at 9:00 a.m. All UAW 4121 members are welcome and encouraged to attend. If you can’t make it, please follow the process by reading updates on our website. You can always give input or ask questions via email.
Also please be sure to attend our monthly membership meeting (Thursday 1/29) at 4:30 p.m. in MEB 238. In addition to updates about our negotiations with the University, we will hear updates about recent actions to promote racial justice (#blacklivesmatter), workers rights, and other ongoing policy opportunities and challenges around higher education access and quality.
We also will consider an amendment to the local union bylaws proposed at the last membership meeting. After hearing the report of the bylaws committee members will have an opportunity to vote, and may pass the bylaws amendment with a 2/3 majority vote.
All members in good standing are encouraged to attend, and as always children are welcome and new members may sign up to join the union at the meeting.
