Who We Are
We are a group of UAW 4121 members who advocate for survivors of sexual harassment and assault, and who seek to eliminate sexual violence both at UW and in the broader community.
What We Do
- Following an incident in the Health Sciences Building in May 2016, union representatives in the medical sciences wrote a demand letter to UWPD and Health Sciences Administration, including calls for improved communication and increased trainings. We are continuing to work to ensure these demands are met.
- Following news of serious issues of harassment in the Katze Lab, we circulated a petition demanding that University central administration stop protecting predators and do more to guarantee the health and safety of their employees.
- We additionally have a union appointee to the University-wide Health and Safety Committee, which meets monthly.
