Don’t forget — Monday is International Workers’ Day and will be a nationwide day of action to celebrate and support workers and immigrants! It’s critical that we come together as a united University of Washington community and fight back against anti-immigrant, anti-Black, and anti-worker discrimination. Monday is the perfect opportunity to show solidarity with members of our community who have been unjustly targeted by the Trump regime. If you haven’t already, please sign our open letter in support of this day of action.

Please come out on Monday for a powerful day of action and resistance! Members of our Local will meet on Red Square outside Gerberding a few minutes before 11am to put additional pressure on our urgent bargaining demands. We’ll then head to the big march organized by El Comité and the May 1st Action Coalition, which begins at 1pm. If you’d like to make a sign for the march, supplies will be available on Red Square around 10am.

Members of 4121 are meeting up at the Washington State Labor Council office on 16th and Jackson at 12:30pm to join the march. The easiest way to get there from the main Seattle campus is to take the 48 bus from 15th & 40th to the stop at Jackson & 23rd. For location updates during the march, check out our Twitter. Don’t forget to wear your blue union shirts and beanies! We’ll have some available if you don’t have one already.
