Dear UAW 4121 members,
This afternoon we had a strong opening in bargaining for our new contract with the UW Administration. Over 2500 ASEs signed on in support of our bargaining demands. The bargaining committee presented these demands with dozens of ASEs in attendance, sharing their stories — issues of harassment, discrimination, insufficient bereavement time, inadequate parental leave, and loss of health insurance due to bureaucratic mistakes. Bring your voice to our next bargaining session on February 15th, 9am-5pm at Roosevelt Commons West, Room 271! We will begin bargaining over non-economic demands, with the first session covering sexual harassment and union orientations. Join us for a planning meeting on Monday (2/12), 5pm @ Physics C520.
