4/9 12pm Rally to Demand UW Protect DACA-mented ASE and All Non-Citizen Workers!
Join your fellow union members for a Rally on April 9 (Thurs) Noon-1pm in front of the UW Graduate School in support of an ASE and DACA recipient who lost their TA-ship due to delays in the DACA renewal process. RSVP here.
Not only is UW charging our union sibling for tuition that would have been waived by their TAship, they are also demanding the ASE pay them back for an overpayment–money that totals $14,155.15. Even more: members of this ASE’s department leadership shared their story on social media without their permission.
ASEs are demanding immediate financial and emotional relief, and establishment of a UW-wide legal defense and expanded emergency fund. RSVP now to hold UW accountable!
