This morning, the Trump administration again attacked communities of color with the decision to end the DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) program.

Make no mistake, this is related to the travel ban, and another example of Trump’s racist, xenophobic agenda.  When members of our community are under attack, it is essential that we are unified in taking action to resist and defeat anti-immigrant efforts.  Now is the time to take action!

WHAT: An emergency rally and press conference in support of DACA recipients, their families, and the millions of undocumented U.S. residents who are seeking a solution!

WHEN: Today @ 2pm

WHERE: Centilia Cultural Center – 1660 S Roberto Maestas Festival St, Seattle, Wa 98144

More info here.

Next week, the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project and the WA Dream Act Coalition will be hosting community forums to discuss options after DACA.  Here are the dates and more info.  The WA Dream Act Coalition is also hosting an Educators Forum on the 18th.

Here is a community advisory, and the WA Immigrant Solidarity Network will host Facebook live events at 4pm (English) and 4:30pm (Spanish) to explain the announcement.

Please check our website for resources on campus, as well as our Facebook and Twitter in the coming days for collective actions we can take to oppose the Trump administration’s decision to eliminate DACA.
