Next Thursday, October 13, from 5:30-7pm in Savery 260 we’ll welcome new members and returning members to our first regular monthly membership meeting of the year. This is a great opportunity to meet other union members, find out about what’s going on around campus and how to get involved. The proposed agenda is as follows:

4. Working Group Reports
5. Election of UAW Local 4121 Elections Committee
6. Discussion of I-732
Any member who would like to propose additional agenda items or submit materials for the meeting is welcome to emailuaw4121@uaw4121.org by 5pm on Wednesday, October 12th. All members in good standing are encouraged to attend, and new members may sign up to join the union at the meeting. As always children are welcome: please email uaw4121@uaw4121.org by 5pm on Wednesday (10/12) if you need childcare and we will ensure it is provided.
Election Committee Election
At the membership meeting, we’ll elect a new election committee consisting of up to seven (7) members and one (1) alternate, which is responsible for overseeing all Local votes for the coming year. All members are automatically nominated for the Election Committee, and may accept nomination any time before 6pm on 10/13/16, when nominations will be closed. Nominations may be accepted in person at the meeting or in advance of the meeting via email touaw4121@uaw4121.org. We will vote immediately after close of nominations, and the highest runner up will be the alternate.
