Dear Colleague,
We had a fantastic meeting today where the bargaining team and our fellow Postdocs discussed the details of the tentative agreement and our upcoming ratification vote. What is ratification? It means we will vote whether to accept the full contract as written. If a majority of Postdocs voting, vote Yes, the contract will go into effect immediately.
The ratification vote will begin this Monday, June 3 at 8 AM and continue through the following Monday, June 10 at 9 PM. On Monday morning you will receive an email with a link to cast your vote. Included in that email will be a link to a summary of the contract as well as a link to the full contract.
We will also hold daily information sessions. Additional meetings will be scheduled throughout the week as needed, but for now, you can come ask all your burning questions in person:
Moday: Foege N-303, 12-1 PM
Tuesday: SLU (Room TBD), 1-2 PM
Tuesday #2: PAB B-305, 4-5 PM
Wednesday: MolES 115, 12-1 PM
Thursday: Foege N-503, 12-1 PM
Friday: MolES 115, 12-1 PM
We are thrilled to have arrived at the ratification stage and cannot wait to begin implementation of our hard-won new rights and benefits. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
In solidarity,
The UW Postdocs United / UAW 4121 Bargaining Committee
