I am asking you to sign on to the Initial Bargaining Demands (IBDs): https://form.jotform.com/260154423245045 created from input of hundreds of Research Staff from the Bargaining Survey. Negotiations for the next Research Staff contract will begin in a few short weeks and we want UW to know that workers are paying attention.
Hundreds of union members filled out the recent bargaining survey to help draft these demands and are meant to demonstrate what a fair and equitable next contract looks like for Research Scientists, Engineers, Coordinators, and Consultants across UW.
Each name added to the IBD demonstrates to UW that Research Staff are engaged and ready to mobilize to ensure our demands are met. Right now more than ever we need to signal to UW that it needs to push back on the federal attacks on higher education, science, and research and to prioritize the workers that are the engine that powers each of those institutions.
