King County Metro will have to cut bus service by 17% next year unless the legislature provides new funding tools. Thanks to emails from UW students and others, transportation bills have been amended to include transit funding options. However, time is growing short to get these measures passed – the regular legislative session ends this Sunday. Your legislators need to hear from you to get these bills passed and prevent transit cuts.
Please take two minutes TODAY to contact your legislators and ask them to support transportation bills that include transit funding. Include in your message that you’re a student at UW and how you depend on transit. Live outside Seattle? It’s especially important that your legislators hear from you.
