Count Me In!

Lawmakers in Olympia and DC alike need to be pushed to stop funding tax exemptions for those who need it the least, and instead prioritize spending on essential services like education and science funding.  In the coming weeks many state legislators will be holding Town Hall meetings to hear from constituents.  This is a great opportunity for UAW members to show up and speak out about enacting common-sense revenue measures to fund higher education and other critical services.  If you can make it let us know!  We can offer some talking points about higher ed to communicate with your representatives.
  • If you live in the U-District, Fremont, Wallingford, or Capitol Hill areas (43rd LD) your meetings are on Saturday, March 30th at 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. [Location TBD]
  • If you live in Northeast Seattle, Lake City, or Sand Point areas (46th LD) your meeting is on Saturday, March 16th at 10:00 a.m. at the North Seattle Community Center
  • If you live in Ballard, Queen Anne, or Magnolia areas (36th LD) your meeting is Saturday, March 30th at 11:00 a.m. at City University
  • If you live in Beacon Hill (West), Duwamish, Tukwila, and Renton Southeast areas (11th LD) your meeting is on Saturday, March 16th at 1:00 p.m. at the RCECC
