This Friday at UW and Saturday at city hall the unemployed and underemployed get a voice through public hearings to explore and expose the crisis of unemployment that grips America.  A partnership between the Harry Bridges Labor Center, the King County Labor Council and other academic, labor and community services groups, the hearings will highlight the unemployment crisis of young workers, communities of color, returning veterans, construction workers, public sector workers, and more. Students, facing the double crisis of job uncertainty and mounting debt, will play a major part.

Some of your fellow members will be speaking as will economists, legal and political scholars, historians, and those who are enduring or anxious about joblessness.

Details can be found on the Unemployed Nation website.
