Pride Parade 2012: Don’t Watch. March!
Sunday June 24, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

UAW Local 4121 has a proud tradition of supporting Seattle PrideFest and marching in the parade with other labor unions as part of the Pride at Work.

This year’s parade takes place this Sunday, June 24th in downtown Seattle.  We’ll meet at the staging area (7th and James) at approximately 11:00 a.m., then march in the parade that ends at the Seattle Center.

2012 has already been a historic year for LGBTQ dignity and equality, as the state legislature passed a landmark bill establishing marriage rights for same-sex couples.  Now this law is being challenged on the ballot, making it incumbent upon voters who share a commitment to love, equality and community to Approve Referendum 74.

Click here to RSVP for the parade.  If you can’t make it on Sunday, please consider making time to join the campaign to secure marriage equality.  Already UAW members have helped work with other campus and community groups to organize for the 2012 election cycle.
