June 3-7th is a nationwide week of action to support Walmart employees who have been speaking up for change, including increasing flexibility and availability of hours in scheduling and increasing pay so associates will earn at least $25,000 per year. Walmart associates next week will be taking buses from around the country to a shareholders meeting in Bentonville, Arkansas to demand an end to retaliation against those who have spoken out for fair treatment (see http://forrespect.org/).
Throughout the week we are organizing small group actions, along with other union members, faith groups, customers, and others at the Renton Walmart to inform the community of what these employees are doing to make positive change. Please sign up below if you can dedicate one hour to participate! We’ll provide transportation and team you up with other Local 4121 members who share your availability.
